About Us
Renae Helms, MA, LPC, LAC
(She/Her/Hers)
Owner / Therapist
As a specialist in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing), I can help you process and overcome past events that keep you stuck in emotional pain, create unhelpful behavioral patterns, and keep you from living your best life. EMDR has been researched extensively and has shown a very high success rate. Recent studies show it is effective in at least 80% of PTSD cases. As we continue to work with EMDR, we are finding it is helpful for nearly any psychological or emotional issue which is rooted in painful or disturbing experiences. I can help determine if this is the case for you.
I am licensed in Colorado as a professional counselor and an addictions counselor. Reaching out for help is such a brave move. Knowing how hard it is to be open and vulnerable, I would be honored and humbled to be a part of your healing journey. In exchange, you can expect a judgment free zone, clinical expertise, and authenticity.
I have experience treating a wide variety of problems including mental health concerns, struggles with substances, relational issues, and trauma. I strive to be a safe and inclusive provider for clients any who choose me to join them on their healing journey.

I love being in a helping profession that allows me to meet new people and get to know them and help them through their struggles, as we all experience them. I provide a safe, non-judgmental, non-biased space for processing hard emotions. I believe in a collaborative therapeutic relationship where we can work together to build a plan that tailors to you and your solutions and work through those possible solutions to reach your goals.
Being connected to my Polish roots and heritage has allowed me to have visited numerous various countries and states, which has led to my experience of meeting people with various backgrounds - race, ethnicities, ages, genders, religions, sexual orientations etc. and learning new cultures, customs, and values.
I am a big advocate for self-care. My hobbies include cycling, hiking, going for walks, meditation, outdoor activities, traveling, quality time with loved ones and my dog!

Hello, my name is Josue, or better yet, you can call me Josh. I’m a therapist who truly enjoys working with young adults/teens and their families. I have experience working with teens through utilizing approaches like: EMDR, existentialism, motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, solution focused therapy and trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy. As a psychotherapist, I believe an eclectic approach is one of the best methods to utilize in counseling.
